Camino tells the tale of a youngish American, Stuart, who decides to do the renowned Spanish pilgrimage, the Camino de Santiago. Some parts of this story are rather hilarious, some parts almost sentimental. Eventually, Stuart is able to sort out his pilgrimage, his loves, and continue the pilgrimage under the guidance of a beautiful and kindly Brazilian and a pilgrim dog. The story examines the concept of pilgrim/pilgrimage thoroughly and describes the Camino de Santiago as it has never before been described.
