For sale here is an Pine River "Trout Rod" 7' 4wt bamboo fly rod 2/2. The rod was made by Steve Pennington. His rods are known for their quality at an affordable price. The rod is in excellent+ condition. All sections are full length and straight with the exception of a slight set in one of the tips. The set can easily be removed. The super-z style ferrules fit together perfect and pop when pulled apart. The down-locking reel seat is in great condition and of high quality with a Walnut spacer. Cigar style cork grip with a slight swell in the middle. The blond color of the cane with the bright red silks is reminiscent of Leonard rods. The rod has a nice medium-fast action. This would be a great little rod for chasing down high mountain brookies. Excellent for someone looking to get into bamboo from a respected maker at an affordable price. Rod weighs 4.05 oz. Ferrule size 12/64. Rod comes with original rod bag and tube.
