MultiTest - Marine Basic - 75+ Tests Seachem MultiTest - Marine Basic is a professional grade water testing kit designed for use in delicate saltwater aquariums. The kit is a combination of other Seachem testing kits, and will test the water and measure levels for elements such as marine pH, alkalinity, ammonia, nitrate and nitrite to ensure a healthy, stable marine environment. The Marine pH and Alkalinity test is suitable for marine or brackish water use only and includes an incredibly unique dye that has will make a pronounced color change between 8.0 and 8.3 and can be read in 0.5 meq/L increments, making it one of the easiest to read and understand tests on the market today. It features an accurate range of pH 7.80 - 8.70 and alkalinity 0 - infinite. The Ammonia test accurately measures the total ammonia (NH3 and NH4+) and free ammonia (NH3 only) down to less than 0.05 mg/L and is virtually free of interference in saltwater and freshwater aquariums. For reference, free ammonia is the toxic form of ammonia and is therefore significantly more important to keep an eye on the level of free ammonia in your system. This test may be used with freshwater or marine water. Features an accurate range 0 - 6 mg/L. Lastly, the Nitrate/Nitrite test carefully measures nitrite levels to less than 0.1 mg/L and nitrate levels to less than 0.2 mg/L, in both saltwater and freshwater environments. The values reported are expressed as nitrite and nitrate rather than nitrogen, but to convert to nitrogen, just simply divide the values by 3.3 and 4.4, respectively. Included with the kit is an opaque multi-cavity test plate with six individual cavities that allow aquarists to test and compare several samples at the same time. Additionally, the simple, easy to read color chart features a 5-centimeter viewing window that makes identifying the specific reading of the test hassle free. As well, though it is not needed to use this kit, Seachem MultiTest includes a reference sample to allow aquarists to verify if there results are as accurate as they should be. Comes with 75 tests.
