The Symplex® Backing Plate Flex 5" is a flexible Hook & Loop backing plate designed to pair with 6.5" D.A. pads. Its 5" diameter leaves extra buffer space between the pad edge and the plate edge, helping reduce the chance of accidental scratches during polishing.

How to Use

1. Select the correct thread: Choose 5/8" or 14 mm based on your machine’s spindle/thread.
2. Install the backing plate: Thread it onto your polisher securely (do not cross-thread).
3. Center the pad: Attach a compatible Hook & Loop pad and ensure it is aligned/centered.
4. Work safely: Keep the pad flat and avoid letting the plate edge contact painted surfaces.
5. Remove & store: After use, remove the pad, wipe the Hook & Loop surface clean, and store in a dry place.
