Night Train (Vinyle)Producer Norman Granz, who had sold Verve Records but remained Peterson's manager, supervised the Night Train recording session. The short duration of many tracks aimed to accommodate commercial radio, which preferred songs under a few minutes. The cover photo is by Pete Turner, and the original sleeve notes were written by Benny Green. The album is dedicated to Peterson's father, a sleeping car attendant for Canadian Pacific Railways.
